Terms and conditions
These are our standard terms and conditions for online orders. They are in addition to your statutory rights. Please be aware that the terms for goods purchased on the internet are different from those purchased or collected in-store.
Acceptance of order
The contract in respect of the products supplied by us to you comes into existence when your order has been accepted by us. For the avoidance of doubt, receipt of an order via this site does not constitute acceptance of an order.
If you have specific requirements or needs and want to clarify availability and prices, including delivery charges, please call us in the first instance on 01227 787400 before placing your order.
Your right to cancel (online and telephone orders)
With the exception of special order items (ie items made specifically to your requirements) you have the right to cancel your order with us at any time before the expiry of 14 days from the the date of delivery. If your order has been processed we are unable to cancel it. You will cover the cost of returning the goods.
Anti fraud measures: protecting our customers
To ensure that your credit, debit or charge card is not being used without your consent, we will validate name, address and other personal information supplied by you during the order process against appropriate third party applications and databases. By accepting these terms and conditions you consent to such checks being made. In performing these checks personal information provided by you may be disclosed to a registered Credit Reference Agency that may keep a record of that information. You can rest assured that this is done only to confirm your identity, that a credit check is not performed and that your credit rating will be unaffected. All information provided by you will be treated securely and strictly in accordance with the current Data Protection Act.
We accept all major credit cards, as well as payment by bank transfer, PayPal and cash. PayPal and bank transfer payments are accepted only by prior arrangement, and the collection or delivery of goods is subject to confirmed/cleared funds in our account.
Our payment plan
We offer an interest-free payment plan service on full priced goods. You can pay in instalments to suit you, from as little as £50.00, over the phone or in store. Goods will be reserved for you once you have paid 1/3rd of the total cost. Your order can be collected or despatched once it’s fully paid for, or we can hold your items in our warehouse until you require them.
Delivery costs to UK mainland and other areas
From time to time we may offer free delivery on orders over a certain value. Free delivery is limited to the UK mainland only, and for standard sized packaging. Other areas will be priced on an individual basis and confirmed either by email or telephone.
If no one is at home when our carrier attempts to deliver goods they will leave a card. A redelivery attempt is usually made within a few days, or you can contact the carrier to arrange a new date. After a second redelivery attempt, you will be required to collect the goods from your local depot.
If the delivery address refuses delivery of the goods, or if you do not collect the goods, your order will be returned to us. We will then wait for you to contact us before we refund your money minus the return postage cost. Current UK mainland pickup returns charges are £19.95 up to 10 kilos and 50p per kilo thereafter; direct delivery charges may vary.
Items such as cot beds and nursing chairs may require additional assistance when being delivered due to the size of the packaging.
If you provide us with a wrong delivery address and your goods are signed for by another party, we cannot be held responsible for any loss you incur as a result.
You may return any items purchased from Baby Lady Ltd within 14 days of receipt of goods or order acknowledgement. To do this, please request a returns number (ARN) by emailing email@example.com quoting your order number and relevant information. All goods must be unused and with their original packaging. Orders returned with n0 ARN will not be refunded. Return costs are at your expense.
Our product guarantee
This guarantee is in addition to and does not affect your statutory rights.
- Is available for all products purchased from Baby Lady Ltd.
- Is available to the original purchaser only when accompanied with the original receipt.
- Is non transferable.
- Applies to the product only and does not cover any consequential losses – eg time, or other products.
- Applies to material and manufacturing defects only under normal domestic use as covered by UK law.
- Does not cover faults caused by factors outside the manufacturer’s control, including failure to follow the user guide and maintenance instructions, normal wear and tear, inappropriate use, accidental wilful and or misuse of the product, inappropriate storage methods and or inappropriate cleaning, modification, alteration, transformation of the product.
- Does not cover parts subject to normal wear and tear, foam handles, rubber elements of wheels, pneumatic tyres, signs of fabric wear.
If the product is found to be defective within the definition above, we may repair the product, or provide new goods to rectify the fault, or replace the product with the same or a similar model to the same specification. This will be at our sole discretion and any repair work will be approved by us.
If a claim is made under this guarantee and the defect is not due to faulty materials or manufacture, we reserve the right to charge the customer a £40 fee to cover the engineer’s time and courier costs for any replacement parts supplied.
Loan buggies may be available upon request and charges may apply.
We strongly recommend you keep the original packaging, as any collection for warranty/maintenance work will need to be packaged in a box. We also advise keeping moving parts well-maintained and lubricated.

Specifications, colours, weights and sizes
We reserve the right to alter specifications without prior notice. All sizes and weights given as a guide only. Representations of colour are approximate due to the limitations of photographic and calibrations of different output devices.
A name given to a product is not necessarily representative of the colour. Similarly, descriptions such as ‘antique pine’ do not imply that the wood is ‘antique’. If you have a specific requirement please contact us before purchasing.
Wood is a natural product and therefore will carry minor imperfections and characteristics such as grain and colour variation and knots; these characteristics are not classed as a fault. Manufacturers normally use different grades of wood and paint for items such as cots or cot beds and therefore the finish can appear differently. Painted wood, especially self assembly products, may have or develop minor paint chips and marks around holes and edges during manufacture, assembly and use.
Accessories supplied to co-ordinate with the main product may differ in shade; this is normally caused by the manufacturing process and is not a fault. Fabric accessories may fade at different rates especially when not being used together.
